This trip was amazing! We flew into Edinburgh on March 7th 2016 and drove, past Stirling, to Kinlochard, Scotland. There we stayed in an hotel called the Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Spa, and I highly recommend this hotel. The next morning we drove into Stirling and saw Sir William Wallace’s sword at his national monument, then headed into Edinburgh! Edinburgh Scotland is one of my favorite cities So much for a family to see and do there. Some of the highlights are the castle (try and be there at 1pm for the firing of the cannon), the royal mile, and the old town. If your kids are ok with some chills then take them on the Real Mary King’s Close tour. This tour takes you through old Edinburgh and is fun and scary! After a day of exploring we drove south to Hadrian’s wall!
